Unprofitable the decor in modern furniture was limited until recently to functional problems - application of various types of obverse accessories with its ergonomic and art study. Necessity of expansion of assortment of products at preservation of the constructive continuity which is meeting the requirements of mass industrial manufacture, aspiration to a dwelling individualization have brought in practice of designing of furniture use of an unprofitable decor in registration of front surfaces of case furniture.

It stimulated development of ways of dressing with reference to problems of the furniture industry. Ways of dressing of front surfaces of case furniture with use of decorative elements from plastic (rigid penopoliuretan), simulating woodcarving and an engraving are developed; the way of a thermostamping of relief drawing on furniture boards, drevesnostruzhechnyh and wood-fiber plates is developed; metal overlays, frameworks and inserts from the anodized aluminium or the aluminium plates processed by a method of flat printing are entered; decorative apportions from the re-stuck interline interval, an insert from imprinted artificial skin, an overlay from folk art products - the painted and inlaid plates, zhostovskie trays, stamping inserts from copper and a brass are used.

In application of an unprofitable decor in products of furniture the designer should show extreme care. The formal ornament of facades without stylistic study of products and the in detail-spatial environment in an interior as a whole can lead to loss of art advantages of furniture.
